The Bulldogs provide tackle football for Atom, Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget football players who live in Calgary south of Anderson Road and west of MacLeod Trail. The Bulldogs are one of the most successful football programs in Calgary with a Provincial Championship, three Provincial Finalist, five City Championship and two City Finalist teams in the last four years.

Philosophy

All Bulldogs programs stress the importance of fundamental skill development, preparation and hard work within a framework of organization and discipline. We require commitment and respect from the players and in return we assure them an atmosphere of excellence, competitiveness and fun.

We also believe that there are areas in a player's life that are more important than sports and football. So we will always defer to the importance of commitments to family, school and religion.

COMMITMENT

Players are expected to commit to the practice schedule. This relatively high level of time commitment is offset by a fairly short season (~3½ months).

Our teams are usually made up of a high percentage of multi-sport athletes and, in spite of the time commitment to the Bulldogs, we have been successful in the past in accommodating the requirements of top-level hockey and soccer players. We also support and encourage participation in school sports.

OUR TEAM PHILOSOPHY:

We want to win ONLY through hard work
We want to teach and learn about football
We want to have fun!
